FAQ

How do I place a flower order?

  1. Begin at Checkout and enter your email in the prompted form.

  2. Fill out the “Shipping Address” form- this is where the flowers will be delivered to. Please include the recipient’s address & phone number here and not your own.

  3. Select “Flower Delivery” - zip codes out of range will not give this as an option. I can often accommodate the order but please reach out before paying to ensure it’s possible.

  4. Select “Pick Up” for all orders that you wish to come get in person. Delivery Fees will automatically be waived. Add desired Pick Up time in the following form.

  5. Fill out “Message”form- this is where you leave your personal message to the recipient.

  6. Choose delivery/pick up date.

  7. Delivery Instructions: If there are any important delivery details such as gate codes etc. please leave them in this form

  8. Pay and done! You will receive an order confirmation email which includes all the details for your order. If you do not receive a confirmation email (check your spam!), then your order was not officially place. Once the order is delivered, you will receive an email delivery confirmation from myself, as soon as your flowers have reached their destination. I will be sure to include any pertinent drop-off information and pictures to confirm. The recipient will also receive a delivery notification from the delivery person, informing them that the flowers have arrived and can be retrieved safely.


How does delivery work?

Deliveries are accepted Monday-Friday with same day delivery available until 1:00pm each day. All orders go out for delivery at 1:00pm and are promised to be delivered by 6:00pm that day. Weekend deliveries are currently not accepted. *Except for special holiday weekends such as Valentine’s Day/Mother’s Day.

I do not accept specific delivery times, unless previously discussed prior to the order being placed. I cannot provide exact delivery times as there are different variables each day (number of orders fluctuate, LA traffic is a nightmare, etc.).

Upon arrival, the delivery person will attempt to enter the building without contacting the recipient. We strive to hand off the order directly to the recipient each time. Should the recipient be unavailable, flowers will be left in a safe spot, by the front door and in the shade. The recipient will then be texted to let them know that the arrangement is ready and waiting for them. I will also follow up personally with each order via email to ensure the sender of the successful delivery.
Pictures of the arrangement and delivery placement will be included.

We do our best not to overly contact the recipient during this process but it’s crucial to provide the recipient’s number in case there are any gate codes etc. that may interfere with the drop off being made. If we cannot reach either sender or recipient and there is no way to enter the building, or a safe place to leave the order, we will not be able to make the delivery that day. The sender will be contacted if this happens and a next day re-delivery option will be offered, for an additional fee.


Where can I find your studio?

The studio is tucked away in a charming historic building in South Pasadena. Enter through the double side doors by the Fiore Market Cafe eating patio and turn left- the shop is straight ahead! If the outer door is locked, please call the studio phone at (626) 460-6111 and I will come usher you in.

Helpful Hints: The GPS will take you to the front of the building by the theater but the studio is actually located off the side street, El Centro. Lots of free parking to be found there as well.

How does your sizing work?

I calculate my sizing based on the type of flowers being used. Flowers have a wide price range, anywhere from $5-8 a stem to $40-50 a stem. I use a mix of more cost effective flowers and unique, deluxe flowers, being mindful to create volume that the price of the arrangement demands. Depending on the price/size of a stem, some may “feel” smaller/larger, given the changeable nature of flower growth. However, I’m careful to price stems accurately, creating each arrangement with cost, volume, longevity, seasonality and style in mind. Each arrangement is marked up an additional 20% to cover labor and material costs.


How long will my flowers last?

The vase life of each flower varies. Some such as ranunculus, alliums, and traditional roses can last 1-2 weeks with proper care. These are more premium blooms that I attempt to center my designs around. Other more delicate types such as poppies, sweet peas, and butterfly ranunculus may last at their peek for 3-4 days. These are typically used as accent flowers to give the arrangement romance, beauty and texture. I use a mix of both types, in order to create the most dynamic arrangement. Each flower order arrives with an easily digestible flower guide to help you extend the life of your arrangement.

Please keep in mind that outside circumstances can also affect the life of your flowers. Weather (especially heat & direct sunlight), lack of water, dirty water, and drafts can drastically shorten the life of flowers.


Do you accept custom orders?

Absolutely! Invoices for custom orders will be sent via HoneyBook or Square. There is a $65 minimum for all deliveries and payment is required to be made before services will be considered booked. Below is a contact form to guide you through the request process.


Can I add on a tea or gift option to my local flower delivery order?

Yes! Any tea or product can be added on as a gift to go along with your flower order. To include items with your flower delivery, for no additional fee, nothing needs to be done except select the standard “Flower Delivery” option. Gifts will be gifted wrapped.


What is your Flower Delivery Zone?

Delivery is available from local areas such as South Pasadena & Pasadena, to as far out as West Hollywood & Studio City.

The following zip codes are the ones currently serviced. I occasionally accept deliveries outside this zone, for an additional fee. Please reach out via email if that’s something you’re interested in.

Delivery: 

  • Moss and Meadow is not responsible for ensuring the recipient is home to receive the flowers. 

  • M &M is not responsible for how the weather conditions may affect the flowers. Californira either during the wait to be brought inside or once brought inside.

  • Should a timed delivery  be requested we will endeavor to comply with the request but cannot be bound in any way to honor such a request.

  •  For same day delivery we must receive your order by 1:00pm PST. We do not deliver on  Saturdays or Sundays (with the exception  of Valentine’s Day  & Mothers Day).

  •  When incorrect personal and delivery details have been supplied, delays in delivery may result, therefore please ensure that you have included the full address details of the intended recipient as well as  your daytime telephone number/e-mail address so that we can notify you in the event that any delivery problems occur.

  •  Whilst we will make every effort to ensure that delivery is made on the requested date you acknowledge that in very rare circumstances delivery on the requested terms will not be possible. In this event you will be given prior notice wherever possible and we shall either make alternative arrangements or shall refund your payment in full.

  • In the instance of there being difficulties in delivering your order to the intended recipient we reserve the right to contact the recipient using the contact details you provide. Should the recipient not be home, we will place in a safe place, in the shade and follow up with a text to the provided recipient number.

  • In the instance of not being able to execute delivery due to missing information, incomplete address, order being refused by recipient, nobody available at address, not being able to find neighbors to accept delivery, we may resend  new order minus redelivery costs when delivery becomes possible.

  •  if redelivery not requested we may at our discretion refund order value minus delivery costs if original delivery has been attempted

Care:

  • M & M includes care instructions with every flower order and is not responsible for how flowers are taken care of once received. 

  • Client acknowledges that this is a perishable item with a limited lifespan, that requires proper care in order to live.

Refunds: 

  • All refund requests must be accompanied by photographic evidence and details on environment conditions. Refunds will not be considered without visual proof.

  • Complaints must be made within the 3 days after delivery.
